Alexandros Nathanail

Alexandros Nathanail was born in Athens, Greece where he works and lives.

His musical journey commenced early in his childhood with classic guitar lessons and continued later on with piano lessons and Theory & Harmony of music. His first influence derived from Chopin, Mozart and Bach. Later on he discovered another side of music, the world of Jazz music and all the great composers and artists such as Thelonious Monk, Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Art Tatum, Bill Evans and others, who gave him the motivation to express his feelings through music. Besides teaching for several years in music schools, he has been playing with many musicians and singers in many clubs and stages and still going on. He has also participated in many recordings and TV shows.

Some years ago he has started to write and record his own music and songs. He has also written original music for the TV.

His first CD with instrumental music was released in 2010 under the title ICONS.

His love for fado music and Portugal is the motivation for his project, ONDE SONHO, with original music including seven songs in Portuguese language and six instrumentals, released in 2013. 

After playing together with Domenica Manteli for many years they decided to record some of the songs they enjoy playing and thus the cd NIGHT BREEZE was released in 2016. 

His new original music will come out shortly.
